SU cybersecurity faculty held a cybersecurity symposium for government, academia, and industry in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, introducing the new ground for cybersecurity needs and resources based on best practices and experiences with Department of Defense and corporate partnerships, covering the cybersecurity issues in defense and national security operations, medical record systems, financial and banking systems, critical infrastructure, financial services, and other critical services. October marks the 10th anniversary of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), a program designed to raise awareness of online and internet security, sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security. The School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University, and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the University of Virginia (UVA) have signed an agreement to offer transfer credit for graduates of UVA’s Certificate in Cybersecurity Management program into the iSchool’s Master of Science in Information Management program.
